Leave London for a Country Walk Weekend

Leave London on Saturday morning and arrive at the newly refurbished Grosvenor Hotel in Stockbridge for lunch at 1pm. Then enjoy a walk on the scenic Stockbridge Water Meadows along of the River Test - or if you prefer, you can enjoy Stockbridge's art galleries and boutiques - not to mention various pubs, cafes and teashops. It's all very relaxed.
That afternoon you can check in to wherever you are booked, whether it's the Grosvenor, the White Hart at an AirBnB - see details below.
We'll be having dinner at the Grosvenor, where the food's excellent - and others may be joining. All very social.
On Sunday morning, we relax over a long breakfast, coffee and papers, before going for a walk in the for Bourne Valley, about 20 minutes drive away. We'll meet at Noon at the George Inn, St Mary Bourne, from where we'll set off, returning for a well earned lunch at 2pm. (Those that want to skip the walk can meet us there.)
It's all very relaxed; you can dip in and out of any of the above.
Costs
£20 weekend membership or £30 after 30th July. (Fee doesn't apply to Founders' Pass holders.)
All other bills you pay yourself. The organiser's lunch and dinner bill is split between guests.
Travel
By Train: on Saturday, the 10.48 from Paddington arrives 11.02 (or 11.48 arrives 1.02pm) in Andover (change at Reading.) There's a taxi rank outside Andover Station and Stockbridge is 15 minutes away.
Coming back, the 16.03 from Andover arrives 17.27 in Paddington.
By Car: Stockbridge is roughly 90 minutes from central London.
